ROOM TEMPERATURE RECORDS: Bio

ROOM TEMPERATURE RECORDS

--MOMENT OF TRUTH--

After some success but clashes with previous metal bands including Liftkit, Eyes Blinded, Down Till I Fall, 454, and P.O.W., Moment Of Truth formed in late 2005 and has worked non-stop despite full time day jobs and family obligations. Nobody in the southeastern metal scene works harder on the writing, composition, and practice of their hardcore metal creation. That effort shows big time in their first album "Suiciety." Moment Of Truth's original, violent, chunky, and technically profficient sound is all their own and not easily forgotten.

--A VISION GROTESQUE--

A Vision Grotesque was formed in early 2004 by members Jeremy, Steve, and Joseph under the band name "Art of Dying". All three members had previously played together in bands during their highschool years. After graduating highschool and going their seperate ways, Jeremy went on to play with a metal driven hardcore band called Cycle of Violence (Now known as Eyes of Wrath), Steven continued to perform drums locally in a band with friends, and Joseph went on to play in various black metal and death metal bands (Benighted, Omniscient, Dreamscapes of the Perverse). After a good five years of barely communicating, fate had brought all three guys back together in their hometown of Salisbury, NC. After the formation of the band as a three piece, the guys went on to record a demo and play a handful of shows, the results however were lackluster. In March of 2005, bassist Matt Thomas (formerly of the band Permanent MidKnight) was recruited. In May of the same year the quartet entered AVA recording studio to record what came to be known as the "Homicide Utopia" EP. Continuing on, distributing the CD, and playing shows with a much more solid lineup, the band's name began to circulate quite a bit within the local underground music scene. In the late Summer of 2005 the band decided that it would be necessary to recruite a second guitarist in order to recreate the sound portrayed on the CD in a live environment. That person came to be known as Tina Rock Vegas (formerly of the bands Mortufairy and Beyond Glory). After a series of awesome events, the band received a certified letter in the mail from a lawfirm representing a band from Canada with the same name as theirs. Even though there was concrete evidence that the U.S. Art of Dying had the name first, there was no way they could to take the case to court, ultimately resulting in a band name change. On March 18th, 2006, at a live performance in Raleigh, North Carolina, the band announced their new title, and thus A Vision Grotesque was born!
In February of 2007 the band parted ways with Tina. Right away the band recruited former Crucible of the Damned guitarist, Chuck and in that same month recorded their label debut CD "King of the Massacre" for Room Temperature Receords.
